CO2 prevented from entering the atmosphere

Regarding the production from renewable energy sources, CPL confirm an entry on the national grid of over 60 GWh of electricity from 80 photovoltaic systems throughout the country, which has allowed us to avoid emission into the atmosphere of more than 32 367 tons of CO2.
The electricity produced by cogeneration plants instead is powered by renewable fossil that, during 2013 has exceeded 520 GWhe: of these, for plants fueled by natural gas, 97% of the energy is used for self-consumption, while the amount of electricity fed on national network substantially attributable to the facilities on biogas well over 300 GWhe.
